Tier 4: “Stay at Home” alert level.
“This means that you cannot leave or be outside of the place you are living unless you have a reasonable excuse. You cannot meet other people indoors, including over the Christmas and New Year period, unless you live with them, or they are part of your support bubble. Outdoors, you can only meet one person from another household. These rules will not be relaxed for Christmas for Tier 4 – you cannot form a Christmas bubble in Tier 4.”

In Tier 4 areas, the Christmas bubble policy will no longer apply. In Tiers 1, 2 and 3, Christmas bubbles can continue with up to three households, but for one day only, on 25 December 2020 (Christmas Day).
In Tier 4, Guest accommodation providers like a hotel, guest house, camping site etc. You can only accommodate guests for these specific reasons:
1. Unable to return to their main residence,
2. Use that guest accommodation as their main residence,
3. Need accommodation while moving house,
4. Those who are self-isolating as required by law,
5. Those who’ll be made homeless as a result of the accommodation closing.
